David C. Schonberg

David began his extensive career in the senior retirement industry shortly after earning his MBA and MHA from Tulane University. He broke ground on his first assisted living community, The Suites at Sugar Mill Point, in Houma, LA in January of 2001. He went on to develop Alden Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Hattiesburg, MS before acquiring ownership of three South Carolina assisted living communities, which now proudly bear the Schonberg name and distinction, as well as Schonberg’s exceptional standard of care. From there, David and his team went on to open two additional luxury assisted living and memory care communities: Vista Shores overlooking Bayou St. John in New Orleans, and the stately Ashton Manor in Luling, LA. Most recently, they debuted the highly anticipated Beau Provence Memory Care Assisted Living, the first and only memory care exclusive community in Mandeville, LA, and acquired Park Provence Retirement Living in Slidell, LA. Through his growing number of successful ventures, David has proven his innate ability to conceptualize, develop, and manage unique communities and programs that provide the utmost of excellence in state-of-the-art care. David is thrilled to welcome Beau Ridge to the Schonberg family.

Debby Gooch

With over thirty years of leadership experience in healthcare, Debby is a skilled and seasoned veteran in the assisted living and memory care field. Prior to joining the Beau Ridge team, Debby served as the Director of Wellness at The Blake at Township, where she was responsible for hiring, training, and supervising the nursing and caregiving staff. She also spent many years working as the Regional Director of Quality Services for Emeritus Assisted Living, where she hired and trained leadership staff and ensured that care standards were being met for 15 communities throughout four states. As a result of many years spent training healthcare professionals and overseeing the care of countless residents, Debby is considered a highly respected expert in her field, and the special affinity and passion she has cultivated for providing specialized memory care and serving as a support system for family members and staff makes her the ideal leader for the Beau Ridge community.

Justin Reedy

Independent Living General Manager

As the general manager of Beau Ridge Independent Living, Justin oversees all community operations to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care and service possible. Justin possesses a diverse range of clinical administration management experience that includes overseeing the operations of multiple medical clinics at one time. He began his career in the healthcare industry as a certified physical trainer, working his way up into high-level clinical management roles. Justin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi State University. He and his wife Megan reside in Flowood, MS. Justin’s unmatched passion for serving seniors and providing them with the highest quality of lifestyle possible make him the ideal leader for our Beau Ridge Independent Living family!

Terry Martin

Terry comes from an extremely service-oriented background, having honed her skills in providing exceptional customer experience and care through her many years as a small business owner. Terry built a strong rapport with Beau Ridge residents through her previous role as Activities Director, and she was promoted to Director of Sales because of her innovative, personalized approach to providing an ideal lifestyle for our residents, coupled with her devotion to ensuring that each of our residents is 100% satisfied with their experience at our community. In her free time, Terry finds joy in giving back to the Ridgeland community, serving as a volunteer at Blaire E. Batson Children’s Hospital and helping to plan fundraisers for charities and functions at her daughter's school.

Brianne Smith

Brianne is a Mississippi native, growing up in Brandon, MS and graduating from Hinds Community College. She is blissfully married to her new husband, Destin. Brianne has worked in the senior living industry for several years, playing an integral role at St. Dominic’s before joining the Beau Ridge family to serve as our Activities Director. Brianne is incredibly energetic and caring with a bright, bubbling personality, which makes her the perfect person to craft an exceptional Activities program that provides an exciting, engaging lifestyle for our Beau Ridge residents.

Roger Russell

Executive Chef

Roger Russell picture

Roger serves as the Executive Chef for Beau Ridge Independent Living & Memory Care. He was born and raised in Jackson, and has been cooking professionally for over 25 years. Before coming to Beau Ridge, Roger served as the private chef for the Mayor of Madison. He developed his first passion for cooking from his grandfather Robert Lee Russell, a talented chef who taught him everything he knew. Roger's favorite thing about cooking is getting to see the smiles and joy on the faces of those enjoying the food he prepares.

Donna Hill

Memory Care Concierge

Donna Hill picture

Donna grew up in Clinton, MS, and has lived in the Jackson area since 2007. She became part of the Beau Ridge family in January of 2016. She absolutely loves working at Beau Ridge and getting to interact with the residents, staff, and visitors here each day. Next time you call the community and hear someone ask you "how can I brighten your day" you will know you are speaking with Donna!

Darylmeka Otto

Memory Care Activities Director

Darylmeka Otto Picture

Darylmeka is a Ridgeland native and enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandparents and loves reading devotional books. After Darylmeka’s grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease she knew keeping senior loved ones engaged in hobbies and leisure interests was imperative. She believes that keeping their minds stimulated can help lessen anxiety, and irritability that Alzheimer’s may bring. It is important for people with this disease to feel more engaged in activities. Prior to joining the Beau Ridge team Darylmeka worked as an Activity Therapist at Brentwood Behavioral Psychiatric Hospital for seven years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Health Education, Therapeutic Recreation and is currently working on her Master of Science in Education. Darylmeka’s passion for the elderly and planning and conducting meaningful activities to help the residents with dementia feel loved and have a sense of purpose make her the ideal Activity Director for Beau Ridge Memory Care.

Joshua Lorenz, RN

Joshua Lorenz

Joshua Lorenz has served as a nurse for the past nine years in the greater Jackson area and has loved every minute. He received his nursing license from Hinds Community College in December of 2010 and his first job was with Debby Gooch at the Blake at Township. Under Debby’s leadership Joshua was promoted after two years to Wellness Director at the Blake of Flowood. There he started and ran the wellness department for three years before returning to Debby Gooch’s leadership at Beau Ridge. He now serves as the Wellness Director at Beau Ridge and strives to ensure every resident has the dignity they deserve and the chance to participate in their care. He previously served on the board of The American Parkinson Association and loves to give back to his community when the chance arises. Joshua’s compassionate nature and exceptional leadership makes him an invaluable asset to both our Beau Ridge residents and team members.
